Areas of Expertise
Delirium and Dementia Pathways
I lead on clinical care and research focused on improving assessment, treatment, and continuity of care for patients with cognitive disorders in acute hospital settings.
Liaison Psychiatry & Integrated Care
I specialise in supporting older people with mental health difficulties linked to physical illness or hospitalisation. My work spans the interface between medical and psychiatric services, supporting safe and timely discharges.
Research
I am a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator on multiple research studies, including clinical trials into new disease modifying treatments for people with dementia. I am a member of several research programme steering groups including the Dementia Platforms UK Trial Delivery Framework.
I mentor junior doctors, contribute to national education resources, and I am a frequent speaker at professional conferences and academic panels.
My Approach
I aim to provide thoughtful, holistic and collaborative care that recognises the unique needs of older people and their families. Whether supporting someone with acute delirium, managing transitions out of hospital, or advising on complex decision-making, I work to ensure each person’s dignity and preferences are central to their care.
