My approach
Personalised, Patient-Centred Care
Every child and young person’s story is different, so I take time to understand their strengths, challenges, family life and school environment. This helps me create assessment and treatment plans that feel manageable, respectful and relevant to real life. I work collaboratively with families, making sure they feel included, informed and supported throughout the process. My hope is that families leave feeling clearer, more reassured and less alone.
Holistic and Evidence-Based
With over two decades of experience across Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, I bring together a broad understanding of the emotional, social and developmental factors that may be affecting a young person. I make sure any recommendations are grounded in strong clinical evidence and tailored to what the young person genuinely needs. My aim is always to help them make steady, meaningful progress at a pace that feels right for them.
ADHD Specialist with Clinical Leadership
I specialise in the assessment and management of ADHD and currently lead the local pathway in Cambridge. I have worked on developing joint ADHD care pathways with community paediatrics, creating parent education programmes, and designing safe, structured approaches to prescribing. I also supervise colleagues and teach GPs, paediatricians, junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams, helping to raise confidence and understanding in this area.
Academic and Research-Informed Practice
I previously held an Honorary University Fellowship with the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and have contributed to published research and training materials in ADHD. This includes developing an online training module for paediatric trainees and presenting my work at international conferences. I draw on this academic background to make sure my clinical practice stays up-to-date, reflective and aligned with the latest developments in child and adolescent psychiatry.
